How often should I have a dental exam?
You should have your teeth checked AND cleaned at least twice a year, though more frequent visits may be recommended. This is essential in preventing dental problems and maintaining the health of your teeth and gums.
Should I floss?
Brushing teeth removes food particles, plaque, and bacteria from all tooth surfaces, except in between the teeth. Daily flossing is the best way to clean between the teeth and under the gumline and help prevent gum disease.
Do you offer teeth whitening?
Yes! This treatment is done in the dental office and you will see results immediately. It may require more than one visit, with each visit lasting 30 to 60 minutes.
Can I use home teeth whitening systems?
Home systems can be a great economical option for many people. Results will never match professional services, they can have a positive effect on your smile. Dr. Richter recommends Crest Whitestrips and Aquafresh Whitetrays.

I grind my teeth. Is this problematic?
Teeth grinding, or Bruxism, can cause significant problems if left unaddressed. In most cases, a bite splint can be created that is worn to prevent teeth from touching. If you grind your teeth, address this with Dr. Richter.
